Title
How can I watch a film in the Virtual Cinema?
Body

Each virtual screening ticket you purchase comes with a voucher code that allows you to stream the film at any time during the festival. To watch the film, enter the voucher code in the Virtual Cinema, either on a computer at watch.AJFF.org, or via the AJFF app on a streaming device (Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV). Then click 'Play.'

Title
Why are some films not available in the Virtual Cinema?
Body

At the behest of distributors, a limited number of films in the 2022 AJFF lineup were made available for exclusive in-theater presentation only. As we pivoted to a virtual exclusive festival, three of these films were not made available for viewing in the Virtual Cinema:

We look forward to presenting these films in theaters at a future date, when it is safe to do so.

How long do I have to watch a film in the Virtual Cinema?
Body

You can stream a film in the Virtual Cinema any time during the festival dates, February 16–27, 2022. Access ends at the conclusion of the festival.

Title
Can I buy a Virtual Cinema ticket for a film before the festival begins?
Body

Absolutely! Tickets are available for purchase by the public beginning at noontime on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. You can begin watching movies in the Virtual Cinema at noontime on Wednesday, February 16 through the end of the festival, Sunday, February 27.

Title
Can a virtual screening sell out?
Body

Yes. Due to limits on the number of views permitted, virtual screenings can sell out. Reserve your tickets as soon as possible, including for the Virtual Cinema.

Title
Can I share a voucher code?
Body

While you may give a gift of a voucher code to someone, you cannot share the same code. Each code may be used only once to stream from only one household.

Title
Can I watch the films from anywhere in the USA or beyond?
Body

Due to restrictions on where a film may be viewed (known as geo-blocking), most films in the 2022 AJFF lineup can be streamed only by ticket purchasers in the state of Georgia. If you plan to travel out of the state during the festival, be sure to use a credit or debit card with a Georgia billing address at the time of purchase. For more information, see AJFF.org/faq.

Title
I clicked 'Virtual Cinema' and it says I need a voucher code. How do I get one?
Body

You will receive a Voucher Code once you complete your ticket order. Following your purchase, you will receive two emails—the order confirmation, and a separate email that contains the link to the ticket with your unique voucher code.

How many times can I watch a film with my voucher code?
Body

Ticket holders may watch each film ONE time.

Title
Can I watch the Q&A for a film within the app on my Roku, Apple TV, or Amazon Fire TV?
Body

Yes. When you access a film on the AJFF streaming channel, you’ll notice a supplemental Q&A conversation with the filmmaker(s) below some (but not all) of the feature film descriptions.

Title
Will I be able to test my viewing setup before the festival begins?
Body

Yes. You may claim a free ticket to a series of short films starting in January. You may also claim a complimentary ticket to the Insider Preview of the festival, streaming in the Virtual Cinema starting Wednesday, February 2.

Title
Can I watch films on my Roku, Apple TV or Amazon Fire TV?
Body
