A beautiful young woman is recruited by the secret police to disgrace a Jewish professor, in this searing and erotically charged drama set against the backdrop of anti-Semitism in 1968 Poland. As part of a government campaign to discredit intellectuals and other dissident voices, the brutish Colonel Rozek (Robert Wieckiewicz) cajoles his sexy but naive girlfriend Kamila (Magdalena Boczarska) to spy on the writer and suspected Zionist Warczewsky (Andrzej Seweryn of <em>Schindler's List</em>). Uninterested in communist ideology, she nonetheless agrees to seduce the academic and gather evidence against him, operating under the code name Róeyczka (Little Rose). Their relationship deepens, loyalties waver, and a dangerous love triangle develops. Loosely based on renowned Polish author Pawel Jasienica's autobiography, <strong>LITTLE ROSE</strong> nabbed best film and actress awards at the Polish Film Festival, and best director honors for Jan Kidawa-Blonski at the Moscow International Film Festival.
