Leah’s mysterious seizure interrupts their nascent bond, prompting a chilly homecoming to her insular Hasidic Stamford Hill enclave. There, Maja faces off with Leah’s domineering mother Chana (Sofie Gråbøl), whose fiercely protective ways tip into perilous obsession.
