As part of the Kenny Blank Vision Initiative, ATL Jewish Film’s Filmmaker Fund provides direct financial support to filmmakers shaping the future of Jewish cinema—fueling bold projects that explore the Jewish experience, foster empathy, and elevate untold stories. The Fund is produced in partnership with Jewish Story Partners, aligning ATL Jewish Film with a nationally recognized leader in documentary support.

Thanks to generous leadership support from Kathy and Jason Evans, AJFF has confirmed its inaugural Filmmaker Fund grant, totaling $70,000—including a $50,000 production grant and $20,000 in program support to Jewish Story Partners for project sourcing and filmmaker services.

The first project to receive funding is The Day After, a forthcoming documentary from directors Yuval Orr and Aziz Abu Sarah. Set amid rising tensions and the outbreak of war, the film follows a group of Israelis and Palestinians who travel to Northern Ireland to learn from the Irish peace process—an extraordinary journey into reconciliation, conflict transformation, and dialogue across divides.

Atlanta Jewish Film Festival attendees will have a special opportunity to experience select footage before the film’s official premiere.
